Bangkok is a global city that’s always on the move. Whether you’re looking for something quiet or bustling, there’s always something to do in Bangkok! Here are some of my favorite best places to visit in Bangkok when I’m in Thailand:
The Night Safari is a unique experience that takes you through the wilds of Thailand. It’s located outside of Bangkok, on Chaophraya Road, near Bangkok Noi Airport and Don Muang Airport.
Entry to the Night Safari costs 130 baht (about $3 USD) per person and includes an audio guide, but not a ticket to any attractions within it. You can buy more expensive packages with dinner included if you want to enjoy some food while exploring at night! There are also other options available such as VIP tours which cost around 700 THB per person ($21 USD) and include access into areas not open during normal hours or special transportation services such as speed boats or cable cars for those who prefer their rides quick & easy!

The Grand Palace is the official residence of the King of Thailand. It is the most important and most visited royal palace in Thailand. The palace was built in 1782 by King Rama I, who also founded Bangkok as a new capital city that year.

The Grand Palace complex has been expanded several times over the years, but it still retains much of its original layout from when it was first built: there are four main buildings: Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple Mount), Wat Suthat (the Golden Buddha), Wat Phra Kaew again, and an area off to one side where many ceremonies take place called Wat Arun (the White Umbrella).
Wat Phra Kaew is the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand, and it’s also considered to be one of Bangkok’s main attractions. This ancient temple complex was built by King Rama I in 1782 on what used to be a large island in the river (now called Ratchadamnoen). It is home to many important statues and relics, including the Emerald Buddha statue which has been carved from solid emerald rock by artists from around Asia for over 500 years.
The Emerald Buddha is an important religious object for many people across Southeast Asia who believe that if you touch or kiss it three times each day, then you will live forever (or at least until your body rots away).
This is popular tourist destination in Bangkok and home to many bars, restaurants and shops. It’s also a great place to meet other travelers who are looking for the same things you are: cheap drinks, spicy food and shopping opportunities.

The street itself has become famous for its vibrant nightlife scene—there’s never a shortage of places where you can get your drink on or try some local cuisine like pad thai (fried noodles). You’ll find everything from bars with live music performances to divey karaoke joints that have been around since before it was called Khao San Road!
Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple that was built to commemorate the death of King Ramkhamhaeng (1295-1324). It’s located on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, which means it’s sort of like watching your watch while you’re waiting for someone else to tell you when dinner is ready.
Wat Arun has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because it’s such an important part of Thai culture and history—it was here where King Ramkhamhaeng first saw his beloved daughter Princess Suphanburi’s body after she died from smallpox at age five. The king later built this temple in order to keep her memory alive by making sure future generations could see her remains so they would never forget their parents’ love for each other or how much they cared about those closest members of their family.
The Chatuchak Weekend Market is Bangkok’s largest weekend market and it’s open every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm. This sprawling outdoor marketplace is located in the north of Bangkok, approximately 20 kilometers away from central areas like Silom or Siam Square.
The market has been strategically placed on top of an old railway station which means that you can get there by train or bus from any station within the city center such as Hua Lamphong or Phaya Thai BTS Station (the latter being much cheaper).
Sukhumvit Road is a major road in Bangkok, Thailand. It’s the longest road in Bangkok and it has many hotels, restaurants, clubs and bars. Sukhumvit Road is also a great place to visit for shopping because there are many large department stores such as MBK Center or Central World Plaza.
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is a popular place for families to visit. It’s an aquarium and marine life park located near the Siam Paragon mall, open from 10 am to 9 pm. The park offers visitors a chance to see exotic sea creatures up close in their natural habitats. You can also take part in interactive games like feeding sharks or playing with stingrays.

Lumpini Park is located in the middle of Bangkok and can be reached by public transportation. The park has been around since 1932, so it’s got a lot of history behind it. It’s also a great place to relax and get away from it all. You can go for a run or walk around, visit the zoo (which is free), visit the aquarium and flower market if you want something more hands-on than just walking around admiring nature’s beauty!
Wat Pho, or the Temple of Reclining Buddha, is the first temple in Thailand to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is famous for its reclining Buddha statue and is one of Bangkok’s most visited attractions. The huge statue that sits at the top of Wat Pho measures 46 meters long and 15 meters high—that’s almost as tall as five supertall buildings!
The public bath house at Wat Pho dates back over 500 years when it was built by King Rama I. Today you can still see some original features like wooden buildings with tiled roofs that were used for bathing before modern plumbing arrived (and if you want to see what those look like today). The school also teaches traditional Thai medicine using herbs grown on site; if you’re interested in learning more about this fascinating practice then check out their website here.
Asiatique is a great place to spend the day, but if you’re looking for something more than just that, it can also be an excellent choice for overnight stays. The riverfront offers plenty of restaurants and shops where you can grab some food or shop for souvenirs. You can even rent kayaks and paddle around the canals!
Asiatique is located in Bangkok’s Siam Square area, so there are many attractions nearby:
